A stone table or dolmens - what is it?

Dolmens - what is this? If translated from Breton, it means a stone table. And in modern archeology they are considered as funerary or religious buildings. Their age is estimated from 3 to 10 thousand years BC. Undoubtedly one thing - they are all built in certain places and are oriented around the world.

It is believed that the culture of "stone tables" takesits origin in India, it was there that the first dolmens appeared. That this trend subsequently spread in two directions, the researchers suggest. The first of them went along the Mediterranean Sea to the Caucasus, and from there to Northern Europe. The second direction is to the north of Africa to Egypt. In the 70 years of the past century, more than 2300 dolmens were found in the Caucasus, they appeared there in the Bronze Age (early and middle periods), and this is the 2nd millennium BC.
