Functions and structure of the human tooth

Health

The tooth is a bone formation, which is located in the alveoli of the upper and lower jaws. The main function of the jaw is the grinding of food, the formation of intelligible speech and participation in the process of breathing.
There are several groups of entities, each of whichwhich has an individual tooth structure. For example, 4 incisors located in the foreground of the jaw are designed to bite off food particles directly. On both sides of the incisors there are fangs, which are distinguished by a peculiar form. Their main function is to tear food into small pieces. Large and small molars participate in the process of grinding and more thorough grinding. The farthest teeth that appear by the age of 20 are usually called teeth of wisdom.
The general structure of the tooth is thatthere is a core and dentin. The core of the tooth consists of nerve endings and blood vessels, and the dentin is a tooth crown coated with hard enamel. The tooth crown has several surfaces, since it surrounds the core from all four sides. The enamel itself is the most solid substance in the entire human body, since it consists of calcium.
The structure of the jaw consists of a certainthe number of teeth (in the period of maturity is 32), fixed in the upper and lower jawbone. Between themselves, both parts of the jaw are connected by the temporo-jaw joints, thanks to which it is possible to open and close the mouth. With sudden movements, slight clicks can be heard, which is not a serious deviation.
Dairy and permanent teeth should be allocated, soas each group has its own functions. Milky teeth appear in the first year of a person's life, they gradually fall out, and they are replaced by permanent ones. The structure of the milk teeth is adapted for eating solid food, to which the child gradually becomes accustomed. Also, baby teeth are necessary for the normal formation of the jaw joint and the face as a whole. As a rule, to 1,5-2 years the baby should have 20 milk teeth. The peculiarity of the appearance of the first and subsequent non-permanent teeth is soreness and inflammation of the gums. Very often the baby becomes more irritable and capricious, his body temperature rises, diarrhea appears.
The permanent structure of the tooth is formed in 6-7 years. The sequence is exactly the same as in the eruption of milk teeth. The final shift occurs approximately to 12-13 years, not including the wisdom teeth, which grow much later. Very often the wisdom tooth grows painfully and gradually begins to deteriorate. To avoid the stage of destruction of the structure of the tooth, it is recommended that they be removed so that the infected tooth does not disturb the structure of the neighboring teeth.
Of course, the structure of the tooth must be kept onthroughout life. Insufficiently competent oral care and lack of preventive measures can cause serious diseases of the gums and teeth. It should be remembered that many products negatively affect the condition and health of the teeth, so after each meal it is necessary to clean the oral cavity of food residues. Ideal option is regular cleaning with brush and paste, but in the modern flow of life this is not always available. At the moment, there are many ways to maintain the purity of the cavity throughout the day (chewing gums, threads, toothpicks, etc.).

The process of cleaning teeth is a separatesection in dentistry, as there is a technique and rules for quality dental care. If there are any violations and deviations, it is advisable to seek help from a specialist who will examine and prescribe the necessary treatment or prevent disease.
