Blue stone is a kind sorcerer and healer
For a very long time pagans lived in Russia, manytheir rites and traditions have reached to our time and are revered not only by neo-pagans, but also by Christians. That there is only a holiday of Ivan Kupala (Whit Monday): millions of people gather for his celebration, the official church does not forbid it. Meanwhile he came to us from the Gentiles. One of the natural mysteries of the times of paganism is the Blue Stone.
There is this miracle on the shore of Pleshcheeva Lake, not far from Pereslavl-Zalessky. At first glance, this is the most common 3-meter boulder of gray color, only if you take a good look, you can see a blue tint. But after the rain, it acquires a rich blue color. Although the times of the Gentiles have long passed, but today, near the stone, you can see the offerings: coins, ribbons on bushes, food.
The blue stone has a very interesting history. Two thousand years ago near the Pleshcheev Lake settled Finns who were pagans. On the mountain, now called Alexandrova, they noticed an unusual cobblestone. They decided that the spirit lives in it, so they made the stone an altar, offered sacrifices to it, and performed various ceremonies. Over time, the Russian pagans settled in this place, and the stone passed to them.
At the end of the 18th century the church again undertookattempt to get rid of the "competitor". Then it was decided to wall it under the foundation of the church being built. For this, huge sledges were built to transfer the boulder through the lake. But it so happened that the ice cracked, and the stone fell to the bottom. It would seem, with a meter and a half depth, he can not climb, but it was not there. The movement of the Xin-stone was first noticed by fishermen. After 50 years he got ashore. There are many versions of how this happened, but, however that may be, believers who worship the stone, significantly increased.
