The "Oki" medicationto the NSAID. It is intended for local and domestic use. The main component is ketoprofen, which has antipyretic, analgesic, anti-inflammatory effects. The drug inhibits production and reduces the activity of bradykinins, strengthens the cytomelem of lysosomes and slows the release of tissue-destroying enzymes from them. Antibacterial effect of the drug "OCI" (instruction for use is confirmed) does not. With puffiness and rheumatoid arthritis, it reduces the severity of the morning stiffness syndrome and increases mobility in the joints.
Locally, the medicine is used to treatinflammatory diseases of the oral cavity, larynx, pharynx, including gingivitis, parodontopathy, tonsillitis, pharyngitis, chronic periodontitis, glossitis, laryngitis. It is used as an analgesic for performing dental manipulations. For symptomatic therapy of inflammatory pathologies of the respiratory tract, rheumatic and inflammatory pathologies of the joints, accompanied by pain and temperature, the drug "OCI" recommends using the rectal administration. The drug is used for spondyloarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and gout, osteoarthrosis. Also, the drug is prescribed for the purpose of arresting postoperative pain.
For local use, the medicine is produced inform of a transparent greenish solution with a minty odor. The solution is sold in plastic bottles with a volume of 150 ml, complete with a dosage cup and dispenser, necessary for the injection. One milliliter contains 0.016 grams of ketoprofen. Also in the composition of the solution there are auxiliary components: ethanol, sodium hydrogenphosphate, mint flavor, sodium saccharin, glycerol, purified water, methyl parahydroxybenzoate, menthol. The powder "OKI" is also produced for the preparation of the solution. The instruction speaks about the effectiveness of this drug. In one bag of powder contains 0.8 grams of ketoprofen. For systemic use, the drug "OCI" is produced in the form of torpedo-colored light yellow or white rectal suppositories. The instructions for use indicate that one suppository contains 0.16 grams of ketoprofen and 1.64 grams of semisynthetic glycerides. Candles intended for children contain the active ingredient - ketoprofen - in an amount of 0.06 grams.
In the form of a solution, the drug is used forrinses. To carry out one procedure, you need to use 10 milliliters of OCI solution. Rinse instruction is advised to exercise twice a day. Children 6-12 years of age on one procedure require 4 ml of funds, after 12 years - 6 ml. In the form of suppositories for adults, children from 14 years of age are recommended to use the drug twice or thrice a day. Children 6-12 years of age are shown to use one child suppository per day 1-2 times, and after 12 years - 3 times.
