Sevastopol Square: description and photo

Sevastopol Square was named so in 1990. It was formed from the junction of the territory in front of the western entrance of the metro station "Kakhovskaya" and the site that unites several streets.

Location of the square

Sevastopol Square is located in the South-Westerndistrict of Moscow, in the Zyuzino district. The length of the borders is approximately 810 meters. The square is located at the intersection of several streets: Kakhovka, Azov and Bolshaya Yushunskaya. After them follows Chongarsky Boulevard. Not far from it - Simferopol. A little to the north of this boulevard is Bolotnikovskaya street.

Description of the area

Near Sevastopol Square there are manybuildings and structures, but not related to it by numbering. The residential sector belongs to the Big Yushun and Azov streets. On most of Sevastopol Square there are shopping pavilions. Still a significant part is occupied by the green park. On the borders of the square there are several administrative objects:

• hotel "Berlin";
• a building belonging to the private school "Nika";
• ambulance station;
• maternity hospital number ten.

Also on the square there is a separate territoryfor holding weekend fairs. Nearby rises a high-rise building, built in 1966. In the building there are the supermarket "Quarter" and the shop "Dixie". Sevastopol Square on the east side merges with the green park, originating on Chongar street.

Nearby there is a 16-storey residential building (108apartments) with one entrance. The house was built in 1968. Next is the residential complex "Azov-2", consisting of 12-, 18- and 24-storey buildings with ten entrances. The house was built in 2004, it has 717 apartments. At the bottom of the residential complex are the medical center, offices of some companies and the Magnit department store.

Near Sevastopol Square there isunfinished playground. It is planned to build a new housing complex "Native City." Sevastopol Square, from the west of which is a boarding school, has the same LCD Aivazovsky. A little further away are the shopping center "Kahovski" and the hotel.

Such an infrastructure is very convenient for tourists visiting the Russian capital. The Sevastopol area is surrounded by large areas of vegetation. Green plantations are also in its center.

You can get on the minibus №№ 457m, 224m and198 m. Buses with numbers of 222, 189, 786 and 218k drive to the square. In addition to the above, you can get to the subway. The nearest stations to the square are Sevastopolskaya and Kakhovskaya.
