Economic theory is the science ofvarious types of human activities related to monetary exchange or transactions. The subject of the study of economic theory is industrial or economic relations that arise in the production process between its participants. The type of economic formation for the emergence of certain production relations does not matter. Economic theory is also a science about the use of productive resources for the production of material values, as well as the distribution of material values and goods among members of society for consumption. The subject of the study of economic science is the daily business life of a person, the extraction of his means of subsistence, and the use of these means. Also, the economic theory, the subject of research which includes tasks in the production and consumption by mankind of material goods, is also a science of wealth. All of the above tasks are solved by economic theory, but this list is far from complete, and the scope of the study of issues of economic science includes many more problems that are contiguous with other sciences.
Briefly, economic theory isscience about what productive resources a person and society chooses in order to produce all kinds of goods and their distribution among individuals or groups in society, with the help of money resources or without their direct participation. Therefore, the subject of the study of economic theory covers all potentially possible economic and production relations in society.
The life of a person in society is diverse andaffects various types of its activities: the production of material goods, the provision of services, work in politics, culture, science, ideology. A man's natural desire is to influence in a certain way economic, political, ideological processes in the direction necessary for a person. And this requires knowledge of the laws of economic theory, political economy, applied political science - that is, the sphere of life in which a person rotates. The subject of the research of applied political science, for example, differs from the analogous one in theoretical political science, because these sciences reflect different fields of political research. Specific situations in all their diversity is an aspect of the study of applied political science, and theoretical political science is a science about the general laws of the development of political relations in the state, interstate relations, as well as inter-party relations within the state.
At the junction of the two sciences, as well asthe dismemberment of economic theory into various aspects, the emergence of political economy arose in the period of the birth of capitalism. It was a science reflecting the processes in society in the transition from the feudal system to the capitalist system.
The economic theory, the subject of its investigation,are called upon to study and explain the processes of economic life in order to be able to forecast the development and direction of this kind of relations in society. And this requires insight into the depth of processes and the disclosure of the laws by which the economy lives and develops in society, regardless of its formation, be it the early period of feudalism or developed capitalism.
